In order to share my Treasures, my Trials and my Triumphs, with the many Friends all over this Globe I've had the privilege to make since beginning this awesome Journey...and for all the Friends I have yet to meet, I've decided to tackle learning how to set up a Blog.
Making things has always come relatively easy to me. I've made all kinds of things most of my life. Learning and operating anything technical however, has always been somewhat of a challenge, to say the least, and definitely not a challenge I have enjoyed. Although, in this technology oriented World, I should embrace this challenge with joy, because I know that when I master it, I will feel like I'm on top of the World and there will be nothing I can not do, as long as I put my mind to it.
This is my first entry on my first Blog and I welcome all of you that come and visit with me. I hope you enjoy your time here and find some pleasure in sharing with me the Treasures my Fingers create. Every Piece is made with love.

I named this Necklace Xylina, which is greek for"Of The Woods", because the Focal always reminds me of a Forrest.Its an awesome Yellow Turquoise Jasper and let me tell you, the Photo does'nt do it justice. The neck is surrounded by Pine Jasper Spheres and its finished with handcrafted natural Copper. It was quite a challenge trying to make all the Copper Links the same. Not as hard as weaving the Copper around the Spheres though. The gauge Wire I used was really to large, but makes for a very strong design. This Necklace will outlast all of us lol

ABOUT ARGENTIUM STERLING SILVER, THE ROLLS-ROYCE OF SILVER

ARGENTIUM STERLING SILVER IS AT LEAST 92.5% PURE SILVER. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ARGENTIUM AND TRADITIONAL STERLING SILVER IS THAT A SMALL AMOUNT OF THE COPPER THA IS USUALLY THE OTHER 7.5%, IS REPLACED WITH A SMALL AMOUNT OF GERMANIUM. PETER JOHNS, PROFESSOR OF SILVERSMITHING AT MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY OF ENGLAND, INVENTED ARGENTIUM STERLING SILVER IN 1996 AFTER 6 YEARS OF RESEARCH. ONE OF THE BIGGEST ADVANTAGES OF ARGENTIUM IS THAT IT IS EXTREMELY TARNISH RESISTANT UNLIKE CONVENTIONAL STERLING SILVER. ALTHOUGH ARGENTIUM IS A LITTLE PRICIER, I THINK ITS WELL WORTH IT. I'VE HAD ARGENTIUM LAYING AROUND AND WORN IT FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS AND ITS STILL AS SHINY AS THE DAY I CREATED IT. PERFECT!

ABOUT GOLD FILL

Gold fill is a manufacturing process whereby a gold sandwich is created, gold on the outside and a base metal on the inside. The gold is permanently bonded under enormous pressure to the surface of the base metal, resulting in a gold surface about 100 times thicker then gold plating. It is far more durable than mere gold electroplating. In appearance jewelry produced with 14kt gold fill is identical to jewelry produced with 14kt solid gold. The only way to tell them apart - even for a jeweler - is by stamping indicating it is gold fill, and even in the most extreme circumstances, gold fill will not "wear off" as is commonly the case with gold plate.

PHOEBE IS THE GREEK GODDESS OF THE MOON. THIS SET GOT ITS NAME BECAUSE THE CARNELIAN FOCALS REMIND ME OF NIGHTS WITH A FULL MOON . THEIR COLORS ARE TRULY AMAZING AND THEY ARE ACCOMPANIED BY BLUE GOLDSTONE RICE BEADS ON THE OUTER STRAND AND FACETED TUBES ON THE INNER STRAND, SPARKLING LIKE STARS IN THE NIGHT, SURROUNDED BY CARNELIAN BUTTONS AND LITTLE FIRE CARNELIAN NUGGETS, WHICH ARE IN TURN SET OF BY TWO SIZES OF COPPER RICE BEADS AND FINISHED WITH A COPPER LOBSTER CLASP. MY CAMERA HASN'T DONE THIS BEAUTIFUL SET JUSTICE

Amina is african and means "peaceful", which is what this Necklace radiates for me when I look at it. The Pendant is a beautiful striped Agate, a gorgeous Biwa Pearl and a Fresh Water Pearl in a Sterling Silver Setting. The Necklace has 24 hand made Murano Beads with real Sterling Silver Foil inside them. They are just gorgeous. I could'nt quite get the color right.The blue is not quite as bright and has an almost purple tinge to it. A very uniqe color. There are also 6 beautiful 10mm Spheres, another 32 Tibetan Silver Beads, two Pewter Beadcaps and a Sterling Silver Hook and Eye Clasp.This Necklace is truly gorgeous and one of my favourites
